MATCH REPORT
1) John Montgomery (20.91) 0 Barrie Linnecor (21.47) 3
Baz out in 24, 24 & 19 with 6 tons including a 116 finish. 1-0. Always tough first up in an away game after travelling half the night. No sweat for Baz though.
2) Aaron Wall (20.61) 2 John Kavanagh (22.54) 3
Out in 24, 21 & 20. 9 tons including a 180. Under pressure after hitting the 25 going for the bull on the 170 out shot in the 2nd and losing the leg, but recovered to take the game.
3) Rob Mullins (20.29) 0 Mark Wild (21.47) 3
Out in 22, 19 & 29 including 5 tons. No toilet breaks this time either! (the teams know what we are talking about).
4) Mick Allsopp (19.78 ) 3 Barry French (18.16) 1
First leg Baz went out in 18 with a 114 finish. Nervy after that, but will improve once he gets back to playing local league darts. 4 tons for Baz. A 180 for Mick (Nuneaton MOM).
5) Chris Wickenden (20.86) 0 Chris Millward (22.43) 3
First game of season for Milly. Comfortable 3-0 and would have been even better if he had gone for the right shot in the 1st. Out in 25, 19 & 23. 5 tons for Milly.
6) Neil Warner (16.00) 1 Dave Wallace (19.45) 3
Out in 30, 19 & 25. Could never expect to match last weeks game, but comfortable. 5 tons for Affro.
7) Karl Scoffman (20.47) 2 Steve Paling (23.57) 3
2 out of 2 for new boy Steve. 9 tons including a 180 and a 104 finish in the last. Out in 18, 17 & 18. Great game.
8 ) Dean Bayliss (20.31) 1 Rob Hawker (25.30) 3
As usual Pikey waits for the hard work to be done then wanders up and nicks the MOM. 8 tons including a 134 finish in the 2nd (T60, T14, D16).
A win that puts us top after 2 games.
Running averages disappointing (Nuneaton 19.90, Sutton 21.80)
Tons were Nuneaton 38 (+2), Sutton 51 (+2).
