 MATCH REPORT

Results were:

BARRIE LINNECOR (21.79) 0 COLIN LAFFER (24.65) 3

A tough draw first on, not helped by other issues on the night. Colin, a very experienced county player hit 8 tons in 3 legs including a 115 finish. Baz replied with 4 tons.

STEVE PALING (23.52) 3 DAVE CLARKE (24.65) 2

Steve was even offering to sit out prior to the game but was awesome coming back from 2-1 down to beat another County player in Dave Clarke. 9 tons for Steve out in 20, 19 & 20 darts. A 180 for Dave.

DAVE WALLACE (25.56) 0 NIGEL HEYDON (31.31) 3

Dave drew the short straw in this one. Nigel, last years no.1 player in Super league, went out in 13, 19 & 16 darts. Dave left 36 after 12 darts in leg 1 and never got a shot. 4 tons including a 180 for Dave. County 'A' player Nigel is destined for big things.

JAMES OWEN (22.40) 1 DAVE ATKINS (26.03) 3

James was under pressure in his return to the side and when County player Dave Atkins clocked out 132 in leg 1 and 160 in leg 2, Jay must have felt it wouldn't be his night. Jay took the 3rd in 19 darts but lost out in leg 4. 5 tons for Jay.

CHRIS MILLWARD (21.27) 0 PLUM RICHARDSON (23.12) 3

Another tough game with Plum 4th in the league averages last season. 5 tons for Milly who also wasn't 100% fit last night.

MARK WILD (22.34) 2 TONY BROWN (23.85) 3

Wildy battled back from 2-0 down after a slow start to level 2-2 against the very experienced County player, Wildy going out in 18 & then a fantastic 14 dart leg (including 4 tons). Tony Brown clocked 104 to win the 5th leg. 7 tons for Wildy.

JOHN KAVANAGH (24.35) 1 JAMIE ATKINS (24.20) 3

Again we went 2-0 down, bounced back in the 3rd in 19 darts, and had the darts in leg 4, but with 32 left, Jamie (the 6th member of their team on County duty this weekend) clocked out 89 for 18 darts and that was that. 7 tons for JK.

ROB HAWKER (28.90) 3 ANDY BARNWELL (18.79) 0

Pikey is getting better with each game. Out in 20, 18, and a great 14 dart game to finish off including a 180. 7 tons in 3 legs for Rob.

That is as tough as it gets, and despite the score they knew they had been in a game. 48 tons for us, 52 for them. Our running team average of 23.77 was pretty decent, so we go into the next game with our form intact. Just need a few more of those things around the outside of the board. Leamington deserved winners with a team running average of 24.57 and scoring 52 (+1) tons.
