 MATCH REPORT

A hard fought draw which was a fair result on the night but could have gone either way.

CHRIS MILLWARD (22.98 ) 0 RYAN FRISBY (24.64) 3

3 tons from Milly and a steady average, but a good performance from the young lad against him, Out in 23, 18 & 20.

STEVE PALING (22.73) 2 STEVE DWYER (24.99) 3

Tough luck for Steve against the experienced former County player. Steve hit 7 tons and had 3 darts at double 10 for 3-1. Steve Dwyer took that leg and threw a great 15 dart last leg including a 180. Steve Paling's legs were won in 23 & 20.

JOHN KAVANAGH (23.
02) 2 JOHN SANDERS (26.54) 3

Deja vu from game 2, with JK having 3 darts at 32 to win 3-1. John Saunders saved that leg and won the last in 16 darts. Fair play though, he came back from 2-0 down (JK in 23 & 18 ), John Sanders taking the last 3 legs in 15, 19 &16. 9 tons for JK, 11 for John Sanders who was Ansty MOM. 101 finish for JK, 100 out for John S.

MARK WILD (22.77) 3 STEVE BERRILL (21.35) 0

Just the player you want on when things are going against you, Wildy winning comfortably in 24, 22 and 20 darts with 6 tons. The great escape was on!

BARRIE LINNECOR (20.65) 3 ERIC SIMPSON (20.25) 2

Baz had to dig in and battle for this one, going 2-1 down. Won 4th leg easily but the last was a tight affair. Baz out in 25, 18 & 21 with 4 tons.

DAVE WALLACE (17.40) 0 RICKY FRISBY (25.05) 3

Bad day at the office for Affro, but he is entitled to have one after his season so far. Only two tons from the big fella, but he would have still had to go some to beat Ricky who won in 17, 23 & 20.

ROB HAWKER (24.09) 3 STEVE PINCH (22.80) 2

If there is one player who can handle pressure in the 501 game it is Pikey, 2-0 down with Pinchy winning in 22 & 18, Rob bounced back in 20, 24 & 17 and 11 tons, unlucky not to clock the 118 in the decider for 15 darts.

So it was 4-3 and we needed the last. It turned out rumours of Kaney packing up were a wind-up and just as well. Cometh the hour, etc......

MARK KANE (25.77) 3 STEVE ROGERS (24.60) 1

Excellent MOM performance from 'Coke' out in 22, 21 & 16 darts and including 9 tons. Difficult opponent in Steve too, as can be seen from his average.

Great game to watch and play in, and they are a side that will take one or two big scalps this season
.

Running averages were Sutton 22.43, Ansty 23.78. Tons were Sutton 51 (+0), Ansty 57 (+1).
