YOUTH PDC TOUR 2011
February 19th Derby
The first PDC Youth Tour event was held at Moorways Leisure Centre Derby. Matt progressed to the quarter-finals earning £100 before losing out to the eventual winner Adam Hunt from Chester-Le-Street, County Durham who took the £600 top prize.

February 26th Barnsley
The second event was held at Barnsley Metrodome. Matt started off with a win over local rival Chris Millward Jnr, but was beaten by Paul Barham in round 3. The event was won by Manchester's Shaun Griffiths who beat Michael Smith of St Helens in the final, with those players having defeated highly rated Ryan Harrington and Aaron Monk respectively in their semi finals.

March 12th Wigan
Next up it was Robin Park Tennis Centre in Wigan. This time despite an early win Matt ran into the in-form Michael Smith, runner up of the previous event and a player who just 2 weeks earlier had defeated Dave Chisnall 6-5 to win a UK open qualifier. No disgrace in losing this one but very disappointing for Matt to go out so early in this event. The event was eventually won by Ryan Harrington of Essex.

March 26th Crawley
The venue this time was the K2 Centre in Crawley. A bye in the first round is not always helpful, and that is how it turned out as Matt drew the winner of event two Shaun Griffiths losing out 3-1. The event was won by Paul Barham from Basildon, the player who had put Matt out in event two. It certainly was proving tough for Matt in the draws with his record after 4 events being that he had been beaten by three of the event winners and one runner-up.

April 16th Barnsley
It was back to the Barnsley Metrodome for event 5. Once again it was an in-form player who put Matt out. This time it was Kettering's Ricky Evans who went on to win the event and the £600 prize.

April 30th Wigan
Back to Wigan and this time a very big name winner in Michael Van Gerwen, and yes he put Matt out along the way.

May 14th Vienna, Austria
Matt missed the seventh event being the first at an international venue. This was won by Joe Cullen from Bradford, who beat Paul Barham in the final.
May 21st Crawley
The eighth event was at The K2 Centre Crawley again. This time saw an all Dutch final which was won by Michael Van Gerwen against Co Stompe Junior. Again no Matt at this one.
June 11th Barnsley
The winner this time was Reece Robinson of Hull who beat Shaun Griffiths of Manchester.

June 18th Nuland, Holland
This time the venue was the Van Der Valk Hotel in Nuland, Holland. Another win for Joe Cullen, this time beating Gino Vos of Holland in the final. Matt didn't travel for this one.
